Long but important post
I’m sorry to inform everyone that the storefront will be closed for a bit. Tonight I received a message from Anni and Florian that they were not feeling well, chills, body aches and cough. Out of an abundance of caution and for everyone’s safety, we are closing the kitchen to our customers in the event this is a case of Covid. This may be the flu, as Germany has put some very strict rules in place to deal with Covid, and Anni and Florian went home to Germany over Christmas where they were both tested. Each of them had a rapid test and a pcr test (the more accurate test). Their rapid tests came back negative but Anni had a positive pcr test. So they quarantined for two weeks in Germany. After quarantine they returned to the kitchen on 1/18. So we are having everyone at the kitchen who has come into contact with Anni and Florian recently to get tested. Anni and Florian will also be tested and if we all come back negative, we can open again. If not, then you know the rest! I will keep everyone updated but for now, the storefront will unfortunately be closed. We are lucky enough to have two completely separate kitchens, so some people who work in the other kitchen have had no contact with those of us who have. Three of those businesses, We Make You Bake, Eat2bFit and Plant Bellies Vegan Catering, have made food or will be making food for sale over the next few days. I will be posting a list of vegan items with prices that will be available if you’d like to order directly from Plant Bellies and arrange a curbside pickup from the other kitchen. Eat2bFit is planning a pop up for the Super Bowl on Sunday with birria pizzas and nachos, so orders will be taken this week if you’d like to order.
I’m really sorry for any inconvenience this week, but we’d really rather make sure all of our customers stay safe.

We still have some individual chicken pot pies and one 5-6 serving size, some pasta with vegetable bolognese sauce, beef stroganoff, baked ziti with Italian sausage, chicken tetrazzini, meatloaf, grilled steak, Tuscan white bean soup, three apple chickpea salad vegan sandwiches, one raw vegan “tuna salad”, some slices of vegan chocolate cake, and some spinach artichoke dip. I’m making a batch of cream of chicken and rice soup and that will be ready by 3:00. Open until 6pm!

The refrigerator is packed with new items, and Frau Crust is baking hot fresh pretzels and serving her topped apple cake with hot coffee and pretzel sandwiches from 6am-11am! There are 8 containers of chicken salad left, plenty of vegetarian items and some vegan items as well! Chicken pot pies in 1-2 serving sizes as well as some 5-6 serving sizes are also available. Stop in and grab something for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Get here early to get your chicken salad fix, either by the 1 pound container or on a freshly baked pretzel as a delicious sandwich! Pretzel sandwiches available only between 6-11am!
New soups! Tuscan white bean soup, cauliflower soup and pumpkin soup are all gluten free, and all three are in the refrigerator now along with cream of chicken and rice and green chicken chili. We also have beef stroganoff, baked ziti with Italian sausage, chicken tetrazzini, meatloaf, southwest chopped salad with bbq ranch dressing, and grilled steak.

In the refrigerator we have meatloaf, cream of chicken and rice soup, baked ziti with Italian sausage, green chicken chili, vegetarian and gluten free cauliflower soup, vegetarian and gluten free pumpkin soup, grilled steak and southwest chopped salad with bbq ranch dressing. In the freezer we have Country Grill sweet & sour chicken soup, bacon cheeseburger soup, chicken fajita soup, Italian sausage with peppers and potatoes, Lithuanian bacon buns, ham egg and cheese breakfast buns, Cremini and chard stuffed shells (vegetarian), lasagna, cheesy hash brown casserole, cheesecakes, ice cream sandwiches and pints of ice cream. Open until 6pm!

We are just packaging up some meatloaf, we have baked ziti with Italian sausage, southwest salad with BBQ ranch dressing, grilled steak, green chicken chili and two of each of the vegan items left! We also have some ice cream cookie sandwiches in the freezer along with bacon buns, ham egg and cheese breakfast buns, pumpkin soup, lasagna, tuna casserole, cheesy hashbrowns, bacon cheeseburger soup and some cheesecakes! Open until 6pm.

We have some Italian sausage with roasted peppers, onions and potatoes, we spent all day today making bacon buns, bacon egg and cheese breakfast buns and ham egg and cheese breakfast buns, and there is some
Baked chicken parm and baked ziti with Italian sausage still available! Frau Crust made an amazing apple cake for the morning so stop in early to get a piece with some coffee, and if you do you’ll have a shot at grabbing the last 4 chicken salads!

For WEDNESDAY! CHICKEN SALAD DAY!!
We have a very stocked refrigerator, so if you’ve never been to the kitchen and have just been checking us out through Facebook, this is the day to stop in!

We have some roasted Italian sausage with peppers, onions and potatoes ($8/serving and $16 for double) sun dried tomato Alfredo pasta with chicken, cream of chicken and rice soup, chicken fajita soup, frittatas with ham, leeks and gruyere, three containers of Italian chicken meatball and gnocchi soup, baked ziti with Italian sausage, baked chicken Parmesan, cinnamon honey butter, Italian chopped salad, mini pies, cheesecake, and pumpkin soup! In the freezer we have some breakfast burritos, ice cream pints, individual cheesecakes and more! Open 6am to 6pm! Stop in and grab a

In the refrigerator we still have a few Italian chicken meatball and gnocchi soups, we’ve added baked ziti with Italian sausage, baked chicken parm, a few mini turkey meat loaves, and some single size or 2 person sized italian chopped salads (vegetarian)! Lots of mini pies, lemon bars, cheesecake slices available as well as some blueberry streusel!
Open Tuesday 6am-6pm.

Right now in the refrigerator we have some Italian chicken meatball & gnocchi soup, some grilled sliced steak, grilled sausage and peppers, mini pies, cheesecake jars and banana pudding. In the freezer we also have a restock of ice cream sandwiches and pints of ice cream! More items will be added this afternoon.
