The Hive Little Free Pantry

We have been fortunate enough to be able to buy food and pay bills during the past year, and we know others haven’t been as lucky. We’ve seen the turnover at our little free pantry out front, and we know a lot of people are struggling to make ends meet.

For those of you who don’t know, we have a little free pantry right in front of the kitchen ( Facebook.com/hivepantry ). I will be using the $600 I received from the govt stimulus/relief to fill the pantry as needed. If any of you would like to leave items in the pantry, you can do so whenever you like. If the pantry is full and you show up to donate when the kitchen is closed, just leave your donations on top. If we are open I am more than happy to keep items inside and fill the pantry as room is available.

Refrigerated items can be left only when the temp is going to remain in the 30’s, and please no glass jars.

Our hours for this week are different!

Monday-Wednesday 12 – 6pm
Thursday 12 – 4pm
12/25-1/3 Closed
Opening Monday January 4.

Everyone who will be working in the kitchen this week will be working on their holiday orders, so there will be no fresh items being added to the refrigerator. Also no chicken salad this week! The freezer is stocked with a variety of things and I will post those soon.

Cookie kits are being assembled right now! We will have 18 of them today.

In the refrigerator we have meatballs and marinara, chicken tetrazzini, baked ziti with Italian sausage, pasta fagioli soup, chicken soup with cheese tortellini, chicken fajita soup, chicken devil soup, Oreo balls, corn casserole, baked chicken strips dinners and pot roast and veggie dinners.

NEW HOURS FOR NEXT WEEK! Monday through Wednesday next week we will be here from noon to 6pm as Frau Crust is on vacation (well deserved!). Nothing new will be produced for the refrigerator as everyone will be working on their Christmas orders. Open today until 6pm!

There are a few containers of chicken salad and cream of chicken and rice soup left!We also have chicken devil soup, chicken fajita soup and pasta fagioli soup in the refrigerator. Baked ziti with Italian sausage, chicken tetrazzini, creamy corn casserole with cheddar, cinnamon apple baked French toast casserole, pot roast and veggie dinners, baked chicken breast strips dinners and a new item by Frau Crust: pretzel dumplings with mushrooms, made with her homemade pretzels!In the freezer we have beef bacon and sausage chili, all butter crust chicken pot pies, shepherds pies, chicken broccoli casserole, cheesecakes and more! Open until 6pm.

In the refrigerator we have pot roast dinners (single servings $10) and baked chicken breast strips with green beans (2 servings $15), stuffed cabbage rolls, pasta fagioli soup, baked ziti with Italian sausage, chicken devil soup, chicken fajita soup, one small pre-baked chicken pot pie and one 5/6 serving pre-baked chicken pot pie, and cinnamon apple baked French toast casserole. Cupcakes, mini cheesecakes cheesecake jars and 4 hot cocoa bombs left!
In the freezer we have shepherds pies, chicken pasta with spinach and sundried tomato cream sauce, 2 serving chicken pot pies, loaded veggie soup, beef bacon and sausage chili, 4/5 serving lasagnas, chicken broccoli casserole, keto sausage bites and more. Working on cream of chicken and rice soup, should be ready by 3:00.
Open until 6pm.

Today in the refrigerator we have some beef bacon and sausage chili, green chicken chili, pumpkin soup, tomato basil soup, chicken pasta with spinach and Sundried tomato cream sauce, meatloaf and some mashed potatoes. In the freezer we have baked ziti with Italian sausage, baked chicken Parmesan, chicken devil soup, chicken broccoli casserole, chicken corn chowder, Mac and cheese, tuna casserole, ham egg and cheese breakfast buns, chicken soup with cheese tortellini, shepherds pies and creamy spinach artichoke dip. There are also cupcakes, cheesecakes and ice cream pints available.

In the refrigerator we have breakfast buns, baked ziti with Italian sausage, baked chicken Parmesan, keto sausage bites, chicken and broccoli casserole, pumpkin soup, tomato basil soup, green chicken chili, cheesecake jars, and 3 containers of chicken salad. Meatloaf is in the oven and will be available by 4:30. Mashed potatoes are being packaged.
More soups and casseroles in the freezer as well as more varieties of breakfast sandwiches! Open until 6pm.
